Re: Guys, what do you make of Mike Hearn's statements and resignation?

Very encouraging development. I think that quite a few of the privacy-adverse "bank coin" players will follow him out the door. That's a plus.

Re: What tools are available for tracking the balance of a multisig HD wallet?

The BIP itself clearly states 45. HD platforms have been the object of a certain amount of implementational interpretation.

Re: What tools are available for tracking the balance of a multisig HD wallet?

AFAIK, not too much right now. If you have the XPUBs and the number of required signatures you can generate the P2SH addresses using Coinb.in and then track the balance of each individual address. Kind of laborious, I know but I'm not aware of any watch-only tool for multisig at the moment.

Coinki ...

Re: Is there anyone solving the problem of inability to collect recurring payments using Bitcoin?

A 1-1 payment channel via BIP47 could be imagined between a customer and a merchant. Such a layer could be developed by wallet providers. The customer (spender) must remain in control however and always have the possibility of confirming or canceling a payment. One nice feature of this is that the ...

Re: BIP47 is on its way

Wow this is very cool! I can't wait till other wallets and exchanges incorporate these payment codes as well. :D
We know that other devs are working hard on this. We are hoping for widespread use as soon as possible.

Re: BIP47 is on its way

For anyone interested in checking the math, the 2 txs that were posted (a notification tx and a BIP47 "spend") are based on the test vectors found here: https://gist.github.com/SamouraiDev/6aa ... c5930864bd

Re: Does anybody know anything about the Dark Wallet?

There has not been any official announcement that I know of but the consensus is that Dark Wallet development has been halted and effectively abandoned.

Are you guys thinking of making a version of Samourai for ios and Macs as well?

What time frame do you think a wallet will be ready?

iOS is ...

Re: Wallet32 and GreenAddress

Cannot login because it is scanning the blockchain? Yes, that can happen. It is fully BIP32/BIP44 compliant though so your coins are safe.

Re: Wallet32 and GreenAddress

Wallet32 is a fine HD wallet in pure SPV form. Their repo hasn't been updated in over a year, however. Would be great to get an update from them. https://github.com/ksedgwic/Wallet32

Re: [bitcoin.com] European Union Seeking to Ban Bitcoin in Aftermath of the Paris Terrorist Attacks

Generally speaking, Bitcoin has not had very positive press coverage on the Continent before the Paris attacks so I do not anticipate any change there. Increased "scrutiny" and tighter KYC/AML at BTC exchange companies can be expected. The real crackdown will be on pre-paid debit cards. Expect ever ...

Re: Does anybody know anything about the Dark Wallet?

I had mixed results in my few tries with Dark Wallet. A few small transactions worked OK but a few didn't go through at all. Usage was with both MainNet and TestNet.

Re: Privacy.Bitcoin.com is coming soon!

OBPP is doing excellent work in the area of privacy when transacting in Bitcoin. We are very happy to work closely to their guidelines and have already implemented their BIP pertaining to deterministic sorting of tx inputs & outputs. ...and we are anxiously awaiting the results of the latest round ...

Re: Privacy.Bitcoin.com is coming soon!

We have made very big progress in implementing BIP47 payment codes (stealth addresses for SPV/mobile) and you will all be seeing them in an upcoming version of Samourai Wallet. All of the building blocks are in place and now we just have to fit them together in an easy-to-use UI and work them into ...
