Does anybody know anything about Dark Wallet development? Perhaps we can have Amir Taki here to do an AMA?

Dark Wallet Alpha 8 is quite usable -- both as a wallet, mixer and for secure communications. . . but there haven't been any word on updates the whole year. Libitcoin (the server behind dark wallet) on github is still being updated quite frequently.

If Dark Wallet isn't being developed maybe it should go the route of the former Dark Wallet -- fork development, change the name and set up a company that will provide services or consulting along with developing the wallet.

I've been quite disappointed with Dark Wallet. They were one of the wallets I had the most hope for and things were looking great. Then development just halted... and nothing. No updates, no nothing for a while now. I'm pretty much thinking the project has been abandoned, which maybe I just don't want to admit because a lot of people would be upset by that. They also raised a bunch of funds to support the project too.

I haven't used the wallet in several months now, but when I last did it worked fine. Is it still operational or is it non-functional? I'm guessing if it works it's only a matter of time before things start breaking.

I had mixed results in my few tries with Dark Wallet. A few small transactions worked OK but a few didn't go through at all. Usage was with both MainNet and TestNet.

It works still. . and connects to unsystem. I don't know why it is not being worked on though

iOS is not scheduled for the time being but it is definitely something that we would like to do. We have updates forthcoming short term including one with BIP47 payment codes (mobile stealth addresses). Mobile mixing is next up after those updates.
