Re: Is Money the same as Currency?

Nobody cares.

Your definitions of the words "money" and "currency" are different those of most other people. Trying to make some pedantic distinction based on your philosophy and world views is a waste of time.

Arguing over definitions of words is stupid.

I don't know what your expectations are, but with a very high-end graphics card with a hash rate around 1 GH/s, you are going to earn about 0.000001 BTC per day.

Re: Why im not earning bitcoins to bitminter please help me

The Bitminter pool usually takes several days to find a block. You get paid when a block is found (actually about a day later). The last block was found on the 19th and it took 3 days.

If you are being asked to provide a seed, then you probably chose the "restore wallet" option. That is only used when you previously had a wallet and you want to restore it.

In your case, you are creating a brand new wallet. You should choose the "create a new wallet" option, and that will generate ...

Re: Bitcoin Classic V1.1.0 Help. Newbie. Bitcoins disappeared.

You must synchronize your wallet with the block chain completely in order for an up-to-date balance to be shown.

Bitcoin Classic, like Bitcoin Unlimited, Bitcoin Core, and a few other wallets examine the block chain directly to determine the number of bitcoins you have.

Yes. That is exactly what I am saying. There is a maximum number of bitcoins that can be used in transactions during any period of time. That makes bitcoins a scarce resource and it gives them value. The more demand for bitcoins for use in transactions, the higher the value.

There are always bitcoins available to be circulated. Currently, there are approximately 1,500,000,000,000,000 satoshis. Even if 90% are hoarded, there are still 150,000,000,000,000 satoshis being used. This does not address the nature of the markets. When hoarding and circulation are in opposite ...

Re: Hoarding Bitcoin is a Good Thing

Hoarded bitcoins are unavailable while they are off the market. Increased hoarding reduces the supply, which leads to a higher price. As I understand it, this is the core argument for "hoarding is a good thing".

However, it must be noted that hoarding has no purpose unless the coins already have ...
