When checking the stats for the testnet, I notice that there are non-BIP101 blocks being mined in the chain that, a few links up, contains >1 MB BIP101 block. A non BIP101 client should have rejected this chain, and should have been working on a fork chain instead. What does this mean?
My guess is that someone is marking their blocks as non-BIP101 while at the same time supporting it. If they were on a sidechain, we'd not see the non-BIP101 block in a BIP101 chain.
Is my assumption correct here?
