Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

Any advice on the 2X fork? Will Pool.Bitcoin.com be auto throttling Hash rate between 3 chains?

There will only be two chains after the hard fork, Bitcoin Segwit2X (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCC/BCH).

The legacy chain will not survive because 95% of the global hashrate agreed to abandon the legacy ...

Re: Doubt about Bitcoin Pool Contracts

We just started 110% block reward for BTC mining. Enjoy the extra payout!

will BCC have a bonus as well?

how soon until switching is quicker?

Bonus is only for BTC. We cannot give bonus for BCC because transaction fee rewards are too low.

Oh good! So rewards for BTC contracts are @ 110 ...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

Hello bitcoin.com pool,
just was wondering what is going on - I noticed you haven't enabled +10% mining reward again for the BTC contracts. Fees are still very high, block rewards should be higher than 13.75 BTC/block for sure.
Regards,
KW

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

after hard fork very low profit from pool.
Indeed, current returns are a joke. Which confuses me, with hashrate moving to BCash I thought BTC-difficulty would go down and BTC profit should go up.
What is happening?

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

Ahoi,
I'm new here and bought a lifetime contract with 2TH/s.
My payout is set to PPS.
Can I change the contract to PPLNS and how do I do it?
Or can I buy an additional contract with my account on PPLNS?
Or do I have to create a sub-account?
PPLNS is only offered to hardware miners on our pool ...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

I got a question: With 10 - 20% of miners (I would be suprised if it's more than 10% though) moving to Bitcoin Cash, the Hashrate should drop significantly on Aug 1st. That means incredible profitjumps for the contracts, right?
So excited!

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

Hi - is it possible and is anyone contemplating moving their BTCs from Coinbase over to our bitcoin.com mining wallet until this BCC is worked out?

I've made several updates to the pool.bitcoin.com estimation tool here:

- Add more descriptive comments in the Javascript
- Plans must be unprofitable for a full 60 days before they are canceled
- Add a reset button for ...

Re: Segwit

From what I understand, the concerns of the SegWit group fall into a couple main points:

1. There is no provision, in particular from the BU team, to disable the ASICBoost "cheat". SegWit closes this hole. However there is nothing in big-block philosophy that says they can't also block it somehow ...

Yes, segwit2x is scheduled for November.

You can chose whether you want to mine on BTC or BCC. It's your hashpower so we'll let you chose.

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

I just changed the unprofitable days limit from 7 days to 60 days.

On days where a contract is unprofitable, we will reduce the daily fees to prevent you from getting a negative balance ...

Re: Bitcoin.com Mining Pool Official Discussion Thread

What does a share mean exactly, in satoshi?

Value of 1 share = block reward / difficulty

Block reward = 12.5 BTC + 10% bonus = 13.75 BTC = 1,375,000,000 satoshis
Difficulty (as of 2017/07/22): 804,525,194,568

Value of 1 share = block reward / difficulty = 1,375,000,000/804,525,194,568
Value of ...

If the price in BTC doesn't go up to like ~$4k+ after August 1., I don't see that changing.

Indeed interesting to know what chain you will be supporting after the fork on August 1st! Any comments?

We still want you cut 6% of mining reward what you are keeping and then we are happy and after segwit we will bring you many power.
