maybe it's just too uncertain at the moment.
Yes saying B-T-C/BCH mining profitability is uncertain at the moment is a bit of an understatement.

Hi guys,

I need some help here!
I just bought a cloud mining contract at Bitcoin.com and I'm wondering how can I pay it by wire transfer instead of a bitcoin transaction. Any idea?

Thanks!

Hello,

Unfortunately we have had to completely remove the bank wire transfer payment option due to banking delays and problems (and the banks wonder why bitcoin is popular)
All contracts now have to be paid for using bitcoins only, soon we will add an option for our users to also pay using Bitcoin Cash.

If you do not have any Bitcoin, we recommend buying from one of these exchanges (they accept bank wire transfers):

- Kraken: https://kraken.com
- Bitstamp: https://bitstamp.net
- Gemini: https://Gemini.com (USA only)

You can also buy Bitcoin with a credit card from https://buy.bitcoin.com

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Hello bitcoin.com pool,
just was wondering what is going on - I noticed you haven't enabled +10% mining reward again for the BTC contracts. Fees are still very high, block rewards should be higher than 13.75 BTC/block for sure.

Doubt about Bitcoin Pool Contracts

Fri Aug 25, 2017 8:17 pm

Hello folks,

I've just bought 8 Hashrate at the Bitcoin pool, now in the Dashboard I see I have a 1 worker with Active Status... But is that all I should do (Buying the contract)? Or do I have to set something to the Worker?

Now, is it possible to increase (migrate) the worker hash rate? Or do I need to buy another different contract?

Thank you!

You don't need to do anything after buying the contract. We will do all the mining for you. You need to buy another contract if you want to increase your hashrate.

Bonus is only for BTC. We cannot give bonus for BCC because transaction fee rewards are too low.

Faster coin switching should be ready in about a week or two. I can't give a precise estimate. I'm busy developing a lot of other features first, such as accepting BCC payments for buying contracts.

For today's pool.bitcoin.com payouts:

Bitcoin 1MB Segwit auto-withdrawal tx fee was $132 and took an hour to confirm.

Bitcoin Cash auto-withdrawal tx fee was $1.58 and confirmed in 3 minutes.

I manually confirmed you order. Thank you for your purchase!

The reason why it didn't confirm automatically is because you slightly underpaid for your contract. Perhaps the wallet or exchange deducted a fee from your transaction. Please make sure to pay the correct amount to avoid delays in the future.

Like the auto switch idea. I bought a 2nd contract so I have one on BTC and one on BCC and BCC was the winner yesterday.
Also curious about why the contracts fluctuate in price?

A 20TH/s contract in August was ~$2600 and now is closer to $4900. Are the ASICs being purchased in BTC and thus inflate in price over time or are the contracts price based on supply and demand?

Auto switching for cloud mining contracts is high on our development priority list.

Contracts are priced based on supply and demand.

BTC is slightly more profitable now with the 10% fee bonus, but I'm going to stick with BCC unless the difference becomes significant and looks long term. Between the delay to switch and the EDA kicking in quickly last time BCC profitability dropped, it's not quite worth switching at the moment.

BCC difficulty will adjust way up again at block 483840 (in about 8 hours). We'll see if we have a slow period coming or another EDA. Either way, BCC seems to be gaining tons of support from wallets and services! A few slow weeks would let the big blocks show their use with all txns clearing every block in spite of slow mining. Exciting times :)

That graph is only for BTC. It went down because the hashrate switched to BCC.

The oscillations are a bug with our hashrate graph. I am working on a fix.

Hi there,

Just wondering if there is an issue with the BCC hashrate readouts? It appears 5 hours ago my miner dropped off, and shows a 0 current hashrate but also a 0 hashrate average for 24 hours. The graph clearly shows it had been hashing prior to the 5 hour mark. I didn't check my miner status before leaving for work, but it did appear to be operating as normal 4 hours ago. I also did not receive an email alert for an offline miner. Thanks
