The escrow idea is a good one and the funds could easily be released once the cards have been redeemed or signed for on delivery.

Maybe even send a couple of $5-$10 cards out free so members can give some feedback on the service to get you started.

I will try it this week and report back. I wish the savings were slightly more, but I guess that's to be expected with a low margin product like fuel.
