Can you please tell us what bitcoin wallet you are using.

I am not sure what you mean by you have a "bitcoin gift", did someone give you a paper wallet or physical bitcoin?

Please provide as much information as you can. Do NOT post anything here that says "Private Key", just let us know if you have a private key or not.
