All day every day all over the internet, Roger is getting his character assassinated left and right.
Let's look at some facts.
Roger was the original Bitcoin Jesus. You'd be hard pressed to find any single person who has done more to evangelize Bitcoin than Roger Ver.
Roger stood up for the community in the face of a blatant attack from special interests, and launched rbtc. On rbtc, trolls lash out at Roger nonstop, and practically none of the posts or trolls are ever removed (except when threatening or blatantly harassing). Roger takes all this abuse in stride, sure he's human and lashes out from time to time, but he always returns to his character, which is fundamentally pacifist and pro-freedom.
I want to thank the never ending troll army for showing up here every day to give us a chance to demonstrate our principles of tolerance and non censorship. You guys make us put our words into action every day, and provide an irrefutable chain of evidence that everything I'm saying here is true.
While I think we'd all be better off with less need for leadership and less appeal to figureheads, I think this community is Ver-y lucky to have Roger on our team. I don't always agree with Roger, but he's playing for the white-hat team, and that's what really matters.
