Regions Bank blocking BTC purchases on Coinbase

Thu Feb 08, 2018 10:53 pm

Hi friends,
The scumbags at Regions Bank are refusing to let me purchase Bitcoin after doing so for the last year. Any suggestions on a bank friendly to cryptos?

Really? Regions Bank?

Are you using your bank account (debit card / ACH transfer) or are you using a credit card?

I know that some banks are blocking credit cards but blocking a purchase via bank account debit card and/or bank transfer would be, in my opinion, crossing the line.

It's amazing that there are still banks out there who hinder people from buying cryptocurrencies. That's not the best policy for banks. I think that in the end they'll all start to use cryptocurrencies.

I just don't understand what's the use of all these blocking. If people need to trade, let them do it. This is not a crime after all.

It's been a pretty big issue everywhere with banks blocking BTC purchases from anything crypto related. We run Bitcoin ATMs in Canada and we definitely noticed an increase in Bitcoin ATM usage and Flexepin vouchers because of this. It's definitely going to take some time before banks finally give in and adapt to cryptocurrency, but at least for now, there are alternative methods to still buy and stay anonymous.
