I am a newbie to bitcoins. All the information I have read, praises the advantage of the de-centralized, peer-to-peer system, and claims the infalability of the blockchain, because each transation needs to be secured by 6 independent miners who validate the transaction.
So if I want to buy some Bitcoins from you, using for example Paypal. Your transaction to me is validated by the miners and recorded on the blockchain, and my transaction to you is validated by Paypal.
However my experience so far is that this type of transaction is NON-EXSISTANT, but is complicated by an army of middlemen who insist on taking anything from 20 to 50% of the transaction. Can anybody explain why these Brokers,Traders,Scammers, are neccessary and only give the system a bad reputation.
Help Please !!!
