Accidentally sent BTC from coinbase to my BCH Jaxx wallet address

Yesterday I accidentally sent BTC from coinbase to my BCH Jaxx wallet address. There were no errors when sending and coinbase returns 150+ confirmations. The Jaxx wallet never received the transaction. I’ve researching it for hours and can’t find a solution, any help would be appreciated.

If you didn't use Segwit... you're in luck! If your address starts with a 1* then you can see your private keys in the Jaxx wallet via Tools->Display Private Keys->Bitcoin Cash. Take the private key for the address you sent the BTC to and import it in a BTC wallet.

That is great news! I'm a little unclear as to the process using the private key and a wallet. Can you please describe the process.
