Hashgraph

Tue Dec 19, 2017 8:57 pm

Hello All

I was watching Mike Maloney's hidden secrets of money #8 last night. I think the series is really good, but #8 was my least favorite episode. I don't think he did crypto currencies justice.

The end of the video was mainly focused on Hashgraph and how it will make block chain obsolete. I am not technical enough to know if this is true or not. I did some research last night and this morning and I feel it is not secure like block chain. What I was reading is that in a permission environment with controlled nodes it works (which is centralization to me) but in a real world non-permission environment where you don't know all the nodes, and they may not be acting with integrity that consensus is not guaranteed.

If there is anyone who knows the technical's behind the security of hashgraph and its viability I would really like to understand it better?

Thanks
