claymore gpu pool miner aborted, will my accumulated shares be lost when restarting ?

I am a complete newbie, just started pool mining with Claymore Zcash miner. Has run for a few days.
Nothing earned yet. But if I close it down, and restarts the miner, will my accumulated shares (my "results" so far)
be lost ?

Ok, understand more now. My shares are not "lost", they are just a token of my "work" and I will get paid
according to my "work" when the pool find coins. One remaing question though:
How does the pool keep track of my shares ? They only know me through my address (public key)
in the Claymore miners Zwal parameter ?
