BTC sent to BCH address

I sent BTC to BCH wallet. I tried the 10-step process in the FAQ section with no success yet. When I search for funds I get the error message "could not update transaction history."

I own the BCH address, it is in my wallet. I see the funds on the blockchain, with my BCH address. Do first need to scan my wallet BCH for funds and put the bitcoins in my BCH wallet first? If not, how can I move the address in my BCH wallet to my BTC wallet?

Any advice? Thanks.
