Bitcoin Core block chain

Sat Dec 09, 2017 6:46 pm

My C: drive is almost full from the blockchain being installed and I'm wanting to move it. I have D: drive with well over enough space and want to know if I

-Pause the install of the chain and close bitcoin
-Add the -datadir=D:\BitcoinData to the properties of BitcoinCore
-Then open BitcoinCore

I am wondering
1. Will it continue from where it left off in the new directory? (With all existing blocks moved into the new directory as well)

I do NOT want to have to reinstall the chain..

Also not really on topic, does anyone know how Bitcoin ATM's work?
Do they change bitcoin for cash?
If they do how do I get the bitcoins from my computer to the atm to exchange for cash?

I'm almost certain the below link can help you with your problem of moving the files.

Have you considered using a wallet like Armory or Electrum? You don't need to have the whole block chain installed.
You could also solve the problem of bringing the Bitcoins to the ATM's via using the Bitcoin.com wallet and transferring with your mobile at the ATM.
If I helped you in any way don't hesitate to give me a thumbs up on my post.
