Simplex can't help.

Wed Dec 06, 2017 6:05 pm

Before discovering Coinbase, I made my first purchase of .012 BTC through Bitcoin.com’s Wallet app using Simplex on November 28th. I’ve checked my wallet app every day since and still shows 0.00 balance. When I contacted Simplex they sent me to the blockchain site and said it’s in “my account”, but obviously it’s not. I can see my purchase on the blockchain, but how do I get the BTC to my wallet? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Hi Randy,

When you made the purchase did you provide your BCH (i.e., Bitcoin Cash) address or did you provide your BTC (i.e., Bitcoin) address?

Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are two entirely separate cryptocurrencies and they operate on two entirely separate blockchains. This means that Bitcoin (BTC) sent to an address on the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) blockchain will never appear nor be present on the Bitcoin Cash blockchain.

Please follow the instructions here to recover your BTC: https://walletsupport.bitcoin.com/artic ... bch-wallet

hello there
i have to thank you for your report,i have almost the same struggle and today i got from Anna(simplex customer service)another redi.suggestion.i think i lost 0.0985BTC and nobody cares!!!
with your report we are at least two here.
i am disappointed to get the mail from bitcoin.com last night that my latest shopping of 0.20BTC was canceled because i failed to send simplex.com a ID from myself.i can send my communication history to show every one that i sent 7 times and got confirmation of receiving but never confirmation of my ID.!!!

can somebody tell me here what the FUCK is going on?
sure i am angry disappointed and pissed off.
As mr.Roger Ver said latest, the bitcoin member who has negative experience in term of long waiting or economical misbehavior etc, just go and buy some other coins as i did,so who can help me to get my things done and buy here some BTC?

thank you forum for a practical advice.
Hi John-62,

Sorry about the trouble you're having.

I'm trying to understand exactly what happened.

Did you make more than one (perhaps two or more?) purchases at https://buy.bitcoin.com (service provided by our partner Simplex)?

If so, are you able to see any of the funds (i.e., BTC) in your wallet?

Or was your purchase(s) totally canceled by Simplex? Are you waiting on a refund from them? If so please contact support at support@simplex.com

I had one transaction paid by my cc for about 0.9 BTC,but it has been canceled and my cc authorisation is back so as you see i am a provider of bitcoin and cryptocurrency revolution against banker and banksters, but if i can not trust the bitcoin system who shall it go?
for getting the stupid video id verification from partner bank of bitcoin.de(fidor bank=id now) is exactly the same shit,i start to buy as bitcoin price was 780$ now is over 12600$/BTC, so what shall i do?
thanks for your kindness and willing to help by the way i appreciate this.

regards.
John
Hi again John,

You state (in part) that, "...but if i can not trust the bitcoin system who shall it go?"

I wouldn't consider Simplex as part the "bitcoin system." The Bitcoin network is trustless (i.e., you don't need to trust anyone) and there's no single point of failure.

What you appear to be experiencing is a problem when trying to purchase bitcoin from a company (i.e., Simplex) which is probably trying to comply with US money transfer laws in order to keep their doors open and not land in jail.

Have you lost any money? Has Simplex refunded charges (if any) to your bank card?

Moreover, if you are dissatisfied with Simplex I would suggest trying another exchange. I can't offer any official recommendations but you might try buying bitcoin at:

Coinbase.com

Gemini.com

Kraken.com
