New to Bitcoin

Mon Dec 04, 2017 9:40 pm

I have heard about bitcoin for many years now just never thought anything about it. I am 16 and I have money just laying around not knowing what to spend it on so I am going to give bitcoin a go. I don't know much about it, I don't even know how it converts to USD. I only know how to buy it. I've only heard about the miners never figured out how that works. If anyone knows if this is a good investment and any ways to help me learn BC please let me know!:)

To just clarify on where I am: I am looking to make an investment without spending TOO much money. I have about $500 laying around, should I just start when I have more to spend or what?

Hi it is a great time to get into bitcoin especially at your age.

I would recommend figuring out your strategy. Do you just want to buy and hold? Do you want to receive daily payments? Do you want to mine bitcoin? Are you in it for the long run or do you want to make some quick money? Figure this out and it's easy. Personally I'm in it for the long run as I think the cryptocurrency world is still in the early stages and the value will only increase as it becomes mass adopted because they will only be 21 million bitcoin and the population is around 7.5 billion so you can see why there is so much demand because it is so rare, I am implementing all of the available platforms, I am holding, lending, mining & staking (+ a little trading on the side but I'm still new to it) Bitcoin & a few altcoins.

I would buy $500 worth of bitcoin hold 250 & invest $250 into lending platform like bitconnect you will get around 1% interest payments everyday + you will get your $250 back in 299 days. so at the end of the term you will have $952.65 & in that time the $250 of bitcoin you are holding will be worth more as the price of bitcoin would have gone up significantly.

Having a 'wallet' to store your bitcoin is essential and your private keys (a hard wallet is your best bet but not worth it until you have more of a substantial amount) I use exodus but there are loads out like jaxx or blockchain.

the best place to learn is youtube I recommend watching crypto nick he is 17 & already made a million in crypto also trevon james & ryan hildreth.

Remember never invest more than you can afford to lose. Hope this helps good luck & God bless!
My plan is to buy some, hold a few and make quick money with the rest. Since I just got my first car and the $500 is also for my car how much should I put into Bitcoin and if BC is too much is Litecoin a better alternative?
