Goldgate ICO Review- Is it a Scam?

Fri Nov 24, 2017 9:30 pm

The Goldgate ICO is set to start tomorrow with 7.8 million tokens going on sale.

What is Goldgate?

They're launching a new decentralized cryptocurrency that will run on the Ethereum network. This new currency can be used to transfer funds or make payments.
The main aspect of the project that will interest investors is their lending platform that promises to pay investors up to 1.5% interest per day.

The rise of cryptocurrency and ICOs

Cryptocurrency has grown quickly during 2017, the total market cap now exceeds $250 billion combined. Bitcoin still leads the way with just over half the market and a coin price of over $8,000, however this year has seen many new cryptocurrencies emerge. Many of these new coins have launched via an ICO (initial coin offering), an ICO offers companies the chance to raise funds in return for distributing their coins or tokens, many of these token sales have given investors huge returns and many companies now view it as a better form of funding than most traditional methods.

Lending platforms

One of the industries inside crypto that's given the best gains has been lending platforms. These platforms trade the cryptocurrency markets with sophisticated bots and to raise extra funds to trade with they offer investors the chance to earn over 1% interest per day.
Bitconnect was the first to launch their ICO where they offered their tokens for just $0.5 each, they've since seen their tokens grow to around $300 each. Recently many more platforms have launched such as Hextracoin and Regalcoin which grew to $30 per coin within the first week.

The new platform will launch lending after their token sale has been completed. They plan to offer 5 different packages depending on the amount you wish to invest, varying from as little as $100 up to $100,000.
Once you've selected a package you'll receive interest paid directly into your wallet every day, with your capital returned after 50-199 days depending on the option you pick.

ICO Details

The pre sale is set to start on the 26th of November with the whole ICO set to last until the end of December, however many of these types of sales finish early once the hardcap has been reached.
The price will initially be set to just $1 each but will rise during each stage.

Conclusion- Is it a Scam?

Lending platforms have been picking up more attention recently as more and more investors get involved. The high interest rates offered have lead some people to believe they're a ponzi scheme. However some of the platforms have been going for a year now and have seen investors profit by over 500x, these sorts of returns are generally unheard of even in a ponzi scheme.
All ICOs are risky so please don't invest more than you can afford to lose. However due to amount of money it's been possible to make with previous ICOs it makes it a great calculated risk.
By combining the lending platform profits with the increase in token price it should be possible to see huge returns.
