Free Ripple

I know that most people involved in cryptocurrencies really don't like ripple (XRP) because it represents a lot the negative reasons that they got into cryptos in the first place. For those of you who don't know about ripple it is a relatively newer currency that is tied in with many global banks and is gaining power (and price) almost everyday. While I also am in cryptocurrencies as a way to 'stick it to the man" and retake power from governments and industries, I do believe in hedging my bets. I am by no means saying to invest or support ripple because I completely oppose big banks. However, if anything were to happen to bitcoin or ethereum then ripple would be in position to take over. So while I don't believe that bitcoin will lose out, why not get a small amount of ripple for free so that you can be in a better position if this shift ever occurs.
