BTC vs BCC Payment

Tue Oct 17, 2017 5:45 pm

Good day, I am fairly new to the whole bitcoin thing, and I am confused about payments regarding BTC and BCC. I want to buy an S9 from Bitmain, but they only accept Bitcoin cash. I only have BTC in my wallet, and I don't know if I can just send BTC directly to their payment address or if I should first somehow convert BTC to BCC.

I tried experimenting with this by taking a small amount of BTC, and I sent it to a BCC wallet that is also owned by me. The problem is that the money appears to be gone. The blockchain confirms the transaction but my BCC wallet remains at zero.

Could anyone please explain to me what is going on and if the money is lost?

Kind regards

Hi, sorry to hear about your problems.

They are on seperate chains so what you have to do is exchange btc for bcc to make bcc payments.

The coin you sent to the wallet that is owned by you is not not, just take that wallet file or private key and add it to a bitcoin client and it will be there.
