Wed Feb 03, 2016 8:56 pm

Goatpig seems committed to continuing Armory on his own time, kudos to him, so Armory users are not being left without support. The problem with Armory is that good hardware wallets like Trezor have made it less relevant today. I used Armory for cold storage for a couple of years until I switched to Trezor. Yes I am aware of the privacy advantages of using a full node but to me they do not outweigh the convenience of Trezor. Using two computers for cold storage is very inconvenient. If Armory should incorporate Trezor support I would probably go back, but I think that is doubtful now.

Yes, I posted an update with Goatpig's post, but the future doesn't look as bright as it once did. With bitcoin moving so fast, with Segregated Witness for example, and other really big changes coming down the road, it will be really hard to keep up with the pace and also innovate and bring new things to the table that make the wallet better than the rest. I have my fingers crossed though.
