Recover an original bitcoin wallet

How do I recover my old bitcoin wallet? It was one from back in 2000ish before I had to go overseas. Really would like to get it back

First and foremost, it totally depends on the wallet. Secondly, if you cannot remember your password to the wallet, then you will either need a recovery seed which was given to you back then or your private key. Lastly, if there is no way you can get any of the second option, then forget your wallet or the assets inside ever existed.
