A $250.000 / BTC 655 bet!

Wed Jan 20, 2016 3:39 am

According to the Washington Post, Bitcoin is dead.
R.I.P., Bitcoin. It’s time to move on.

Wences Casares, Founder & CEO of Xapo disagrees, and offered a $250.000 / BTC 655 bet that by this time next year, bitcoin will be worth more.

Well, Vivek Wadhwa - put your money where your mouth is! If you truly believe bitcoin is dead, this should be easy money.

But talk is cheap....

He could have bet something more within his price range, if he was serious about bitcoin being dead. $25.000, or $2.500, or whatever he could afford to lose.

His argument seems to be, only, that $250.000 is too much money for a bet (and that I would agree with!)

But offering zero?

Sounds like this guy really does not believe his own story.

If stories like this don't get the community fired up to prove these guys wrong, don't know what will.
