Incorporating Bitcoin

Mon Jan 18, 2016 5:00 pm

I've been posting in a couple sections of the forum, mainly Beginners, but it looks like I haven't added myself to the list of services here. I started a site to teach new users how to easily start incorporating Bitcoin into their lives. It's still fairly new, but I think it's coming along nicely.

I provide tutorials, educational posts, reviews, and opinion articles. They are mainly designed for users in the Americas, but I'm getting good feedback from six continents. Please give it a look and direct new users there if you think it's good information. I appreciate feedback, suggestions for features, requests for content, and, if you're so inclined, donations and tips.

Incorporating Bitcoin

Thank you,

Great work!

I think you should differentiate between a "bank" wallet, and a real Bitcoin wallet.
The ones you listed at https://incorporatingbitcoin.com/tutori ... -a-wallet/ don't put the user in charge of their own funds.

You can see how we broke it down here: https://www.bitcoin.com/choose-your-wallet
Help spread Bitcoin by linking to everything mentioned here:

Thanks for the reply and suggestions!

I actually do go over that in the later Tutorial posts and in the detailed Reviews of those wallets. The Tutorial series is meant to function like a class. I tried to reduce variables at the start and work people up to more advanced topics. Starting off too difficult scares people off. Maintaining private keys, in my opinion, is beyond people like my mother. Baby steps.

Trust me, I understand the importance and agree with you. I really did try to stress the difference between web, mobile, desktop, and hardware wallets, at least in the text. I could make it more clear in the categories, I suppose.

Again, thank you. I appreciate the compliment on my work. It means a lot.

Telling your clients to "backup your header-keys" is always tricky ;)

You lost me. Is there a typo on one of my pages? Did I misspeak? I've been known to do that...

No, you didn't make any mistakes. Teach your students to back-up their private keys: http://computriks.com/en/bitcoin-export-private-key
