Starting with Bitcoin.com, I see on the very first page this content:
"LEARN MORE Learn more about bitcoin, including how to save 20% at Amazon and Starbucks today!"
https://www.bitcoin.com/
Neither Amazon nor Starbucks support the Bitcoin ecosystem. Nobody can buy their products with a straightup direct bitcoin to retailer btc payment. They don't support cryptocurrency. Why support them?
This is not unlike 21.co promoting vaporware to Bitcoin developers without giving the developers a natural way to pay in Bitcoin. It's a disconnect.
It seems to me that supporting the status quo is counterproductive for Bitcoin.com, and for Bitcoin in general.
In the same line of reasoning, I suggest offering the forum post prizes in BTC. One BTC could eventually be worth a lot more than $1000, and it is supportive of the notion of cryptocurrency. It could also be expressed in other terms as well.
It seems to me that it could make more sense to get behind the Bitcoin ecosystem.
Doesn't anybody else think the same way?
I would like to respectfully suggest supporting only those entities which in fact support the Bitcoin ecosystem.
