new to this - bought bitcoin but nothing in wallet

hi i'm really new to bitcoin

i went thorugh the whole deal at buy.bitcoin.com and bought $500 worth of bitcoin but there's still 0$ in my wallet. when should i expect the bitcoin to show up in my wallet? sorry if i'm just an idiot D:

also i'm afraid i might have screwed up because i forgot to include an image of the backside of my driver's license. what's likely to happen because of this?
