question about BTC wallet backup (Seed) and xfer from exchange

hi all,

crypto currency newbie here, i just have 2 simple questions:

1) im currently downloading the ledger from Bitcoin Core, it's taking quite a bit so I will just keep waiting
2) if i receive BTC at my address within Bitcoin Core, how can I:
a) backup the entire wallet with the 12 word seed? I've seen talk about but no actual instructions
b) assume I wanted to withdraw BTC for an actual cash value, how to send my BTC to a financial institution?
3) I bought some BTC on an exchange (coinbase) - how can I take the BTC stored on the CB exchange, and send it to my BTC wallet within Bitcoin core? Is there a fee for this?

Hello fromnytonj, i will suggest you to use an HD wallet like bitcoin.com wallet, wich is easy to use for beginners and robust enough for experts, bitcoin.com wallet is not required to downoad ledger, This is a guide how to use bitcoin.com wallet https://www.bitcoin.com/guides/how-use- ... com-wallet.. To transfer bitcoins a fee is required, at this moment for the median transaction size of 226 bytes the fee is 0.00072 btc
