Brought My Bitcoing about 3 years but lost my wallet inforamtion

I brought my bitcoin about three years but lost my wallet and all the identifying information that went with it when my old computer crashed and burned. Frankly, until I saw all these ads lately I had forgotten all about. I know there must be some recovery process that can locate which wallet I choose, the identifying information, etc. I was just so long ago . Now that it is taking off I would like to at least recover my access to it. Can you assist. Really need some help here.
