How much am I actually paying?

Sat Jul 01, 2017 12:06 am

I tried to purchase $50 worth of NEM through Changelly. But during the payment process I get redirected to Indacoin. I entered my credit card and confirmed it was for $50 and then this appears:
You will receive the requested amount of BTC (Bitcoins) after confirming the payment. Fees and additional expenses are included in the final BTC amount. Please note, that the current exchange rate for this transaction will be equivalent to BTC 1 = USD 4493.58.
I am new to this but I am assuming because Bitcoin is divisible I am buying $50 worth of a single Bitcoin, Changelly is going to convert that Bitcoin to Nem, then send it to my NEM address.
Is that correct or am I going to get hit with a $4493.58 charge?

honestly, you should just buy your 50 dollars worth of bitcoin on coinbase. It may take a day to setup the account, but it's worth it. After that, either use changelly or poloniex to convert it to NEM. (Changelly runs through poloniex). I will warn you though, I use Poloniex over changelly because I don't trust the changelly team & the conversion rate they quote. Coinbase is your safest route though & then swap to NEM & your NEM wallet address.
