Bitcoin slogan-mission statement?

Hi Bitcoin community.....in an effort to expand the Bitcoin outreach/awareness, I thought it would be a great idea for Bitcoin to adopt a slogan/mission statement to help with global perception. After all, neuro-linguistics shows us that words do have a meaningful impact regarding our understanding. Additionally, it would go a long way in unifying the collective energy behind Bitcoin and if we can show that to the world-it further validates the fundamental strength behind Bitcoin. My idea would be to start submitting slogan suggestions on a very popular forum that would attract all participants. We would need to engage all, such as developers, users, investors and business owners alike whom are all involved in the space. The more the stronger. We would need to set up a voting mechanism.Not sure how we'll go about doing this, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also regarding any thoughts on the idea?? I tweeted one this morning " Today's imagination is tomorrow's technology" Bitcoin....although I think I think there is better out there. Let's do this!!!

you have an interesting idea. that slogan has to be very broad if you want to make it
"THE bitcoin slogan". that is a tough goal. these would not encompass bitcoin as a whole:

Be your own bank

Bitcoin - secure way to pay

Magic Internet Money

The world's local currency


all these slogans are good but they all fail do describe bitcoin as a whole.

Thank you....yes indeed very broad. I believe it should lean more towards a cross between a philosophical and scientific statement which portrays a global, empowering phenomena-all encompassing. It should make society feel good, be inspired and be in awe of Bitcoins technological marvel. I'm working on it and will make it as part of one of my ongoing contributions to Bitcoin. I will need to somehow , start a voting process where people can add their suggestion, update the list and then make readily available for everybody to vote on again. I think we need to put this on the blockchain:) I'm not too hands on in this regard, so would need some help implementing this. Any suggestions??

I think the bitcoin slogan we will be seeing a lot more of in the future will be just:
Bitcoin accepted here.

It's close to impossible to discibe bitcoin in one slogan but it will be interesting to see what the members come up with.

If you want to have members vote on this wait till you get a few good ones, 10 max then add a poll to your post for them to vote.

I believe it's very doable. Great idea on a top 10 moving forward. I love this from Margaret Mead, a bit long but worthy " Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed it's the only thing that ever has" Bitcoin.....pretty powerful impact, wouldn't you say!
