It used to be super easy and cheap until the blocks became full and part of the bitcoin community blocked every attempt to solve that problem.
Transactions used to be basically free, and were safe enough to be accepted instantly.
Today, thanks to Blockstream and their full block policy implemented with the help of censorship, bitcoin transactions cost anywhere from a few dollars in fees, to several hundred dollars in fees, and you have no idea when they will be confirmed by the network, or if they will even be confirmed at all!
This new and horrible user experience is the reason we have seen altcoins gain so much ground against Bitcoin over the last few months.
Thankfully on Bitcoin.com we are at least allowed to discuss these issues.
Those other forums controlled by Theymos will simply delete any post that isn't supportive of their full block and high fee policy.
