Interesting.

The issue with holding FIAT is the market is fairly stable, especially the dollar which has seem some upswing. Bitcoin as a value store will really come into play when the market cap is high enough that any group, or individual can not dominate the price. Currently just like FIAT the holdings are relatively centralized, however the USD market is very difficult to move in any meaningful way.

In situations where local currencies are more volatile than Bitcoin, then we may see shifts towards that. The question is liquidity, and the ability to maintain value.
