That doesn't make any sense at all.

What is "the denominator(USD) is getting larger" supposed to mean. How is it getting larger? You could also say, that the numerator(BTC) is getting smaller. Does that make more sense? Not really.

It makes perfect sense.

When the dollar is stronger, all goods that can be purchased with the dollar is weaker. (downward pressure)

Same goes with gold for example
