Hi. I am so glad you posted your question. I understand next to nothing about Bitcoin (except it's potential) and, at 70, do find it too complicated. Some 9 months after buying some Bitcoin as a little experiment (it seems to have gone up x5 in the meantime:-) I have still not managed to withdraw any from my Hashflare online wallet into my Electrum 2.7.18 offline wallet. A week ago, after messing about with addresses, I was told my transfer of 0,2 BTC was successful. Like you, I got a Blockchain summary to confirm that, showing the remaining balance and fee deducted. Still nothing in my wallet. Date is shown as unknown, balance 0 with just the word "Synchronizing......." showing in the bottom LH corner. I am hoping I have not lost it and will try to replicate the changes you made as suggested by your helper so fingers crossed. I have not found Hashflare very helpful but maybe they cannot be.
I have also messaged the creator of Electrum (Thomas Voegtlin) about this who very kindly offered help to users on this forum but I still await a reply - if one comes.
One last point, after buying 4 times my intended amount (due to multiple payment hiccups), the equivalent of about 1 BTC, the rising graph over all that time showed only about 0.4 BTC mined to date. Yet, on the Blockchain summary, it shows a `Balance' of 18 BTC! I can't believe I have acquired that amount in mining since that time so would you, or anyone else, know what that amount represents? Many thanks.
