What encryption software for Linux would you recommend(that is simple to use) when encrypting USB drives(containing files with paper wallets)?

why is veracrypt better than a simple dmcrypt?
i've solely used dmcrypt in the past; just want to hear whas better and why

Can you encrypt a file(pdfs, etc) and the whole thumb drive using veracrypt?

Yes, you can encrypt the whole device.

If you are really interested in securing your data, create 20 keys to access the encrypted volume. This means that when you go to unlock the data, you are required to import 20 keys to unlock. Unbreakable!
