Best desktop wallet for U.K. Not requiring whole blockchain download

Thank you, Chris. Two quick questions: will the desktop wallet version of bitcoin.com allow me to buy coins from bittylicious, for example? (the mobile version of bitcoin.com wallet only allows me to buy from Simplex and there doesn't seem to be the option to buy from somewhere else). Also, which hardware wallets would be compatible with bitcoin.com wallet for desktop? Thank you!
