Newbie looking for the right exchange to get started into buying

Mon Aug 21, 2017 7:08 pm

Hi guys,
I live in Germany and I'm trying to get started with buying bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies. Which exchange you suggest? It should be trusted - of course - not to hard to use (I'm a newbie) and with the credit card payment options. Ah, of course I would go with one that has not the highest fees on the market :D
Hopefully I did not ask too much.
Thanks,
SL

I recommend Coinbase.com because they have possibly the best exchange rate for Bitcoin and their exchange is very user friendly, easy to use and it looks nice (i.e., modern and straightforward).

I believe that Coinbase services Europe but I'm not 100% which countries.

Thanks nandibear, I tried with it, but it says "Buy & sell bitcoin not available" in Germany while the Bitcoin wallet is supported.

Ok, sorry about that. I will think for a moment and see if I can help more.

One thing that I want to get out of the way first is that once you find a good place to buy Bitcoin you can then easily use MANY other exchanges to buy altcoins.

For example, at blocktrades.us you don't even need an account or to provide an email or anything. You just select the coin you want to spend and then coin you want to buy. That's it!

Well.. I have given it some thought and I really and truly don't know which bitcoin exchange would be most user friendly for a person in Germany who is just getting started with cryptocurrnency.

I have a couple of more ideas but the thing is that I don't want to recommend an exchange which I haven't personally used already.

However, once you do find the right exchange, one that will allow credit (or bank card?) payment options and is user friendly for a newcomer (and hopefully not too pricey!), you'll be able to go to MANY different exchanges and buy/trade many coins with your Bitcoin.

Lastly, as you become more familiar and comfortable with Bitcoin and crypto in general I recommend using decentralized exchanges and looking for ways to safely and securely store (centralized exchanges and most online wallets, with the exception of blockchain.info, are NOT tremendously secure) your bitcoin and other coins.

Thanks.
I will follow your tips. Actually I downloaded the wallet from Bitcoin.com to store them.
