Question about synchronization

Wed Aug 09, 2017 1:28 pm

Hi everyone!

Just a quick question about using Bitcoin Core whilst not fully synchronized. I still have some bitcoin left in my Core wallet, however as of now I am behind about 200 weeks since that was the last time I used the application. Is it possible to send or use my bitcoin, that were acquired before the weeks that still need to be synchronized, without having to complete the full synchronization?

Many thanks!

To move your coins using a full client like bitcoin core is required a full sync, you can move your coins without needed to be full sync if you dump the private key and import it in a lightweight bitcoin wallet like Electrum, MultiBit

I don't think you need full sync to push the coins on the blockchain.
We don't need no centralisation. ImageImageImage

Thanks for your replies! I've sent it to another address, so in about an hour I'll see if it has actually worked :)
