Szabo lost all of my respect since his fear-mongering tweets (exploding rocket) about the blocksize limit debate and his apparent support for Blockstream/core/censorship.

i would not be that harsh. he is still one of the most mysterious persons in the bitcoin world. i would love to see an interview just with him. there are alot of open questions if you ask me.

Satoshi? I do wonder. Satoshi managed to introduce, managed then exit the project without a trace. To me this means that it was planned this way from the begining. They need to know about the internet and how to hide their tracks. Most likely more than 1 person maybe Hal and Szabo.

Provide some links to these fear-mongering tweets please, and the apparent support for censorship. This guy may very well be SN, so need to see the facts.

Talks about it as a "civil war' and technologically equivalent to a 51% attack. Can't totally disagree with him there (except more like a 75% attack?). But sometimes cilvil war is needed, even if it is ugly (US history).

Anyways, his "contributions" are still available to everyone to see.

Personally I like some of his essays, but his social media posturing, campaigns to make noobs believe that he is satoshi is quite frankly sickening, especially that he did not and does not contribute any code, or anything substantial.

if the theory is that he is Satoshi (or a member of that group), then he contributed alot of code.
if we assume Nick is satoshi he had to leave bitcoin for a while so that he is no suspected of creating bitcoin.

isnt it ironic that Szabo, who is known for his research in digital contracts and digital currency, just appeared in 2014 in the bitcoin sphere??? that is more than mysterious if you ask me.

Yes, I did.

Ironically, Szabo have became suspiciously active when Blockstream needed support, the same group coincidentally didn't hesitate to back (excuse the pun) an apparently fake satoshi email, not to mention the myriad of other dirty tactics.

I would go as far as to speculate that the Szabo pseudonym is a deliberate attempt to control the opinion of the userbase.
