BTC in my wallet was overriden by BCC

Wed Aug 02, 2017 9:52 pm

Does anyone know if there is way to reverse this sort of outcome?
I transferred BTC to ABC wallet on July 31st.when the wallet finished synchronizing I saw that all my transferred BTC was changed to BCC.So technically I have lost a shittone of cash. :x BTC

Anyone had similair issue or have any advice?I would really appreciate any suggestion.

More info needed. an address maybe?

Have you checked both bitcoin and the alt "bitcoin cash" block explorers.
If your bitcoin is still where you left it, you may get it back.

Export your private key from the ABC wallet and then reload it back into a legacy Bitcoin wallet.

1) Export your private key out of the Bitcoin ABC Cash QT wallet:

Go to Help > Debug Window > Console tab, then type these commands to show your private key.

walletpassphrase <yourfullpassword> 6000
dumpprivatekey <yourBTCaddress>

2) Copy the private key provided to your clipboard.

Then Import your private key back into a regular legacy BTC qt wallet and re-import your private key there.

Go to Help > Debug Window > Console tab, then type these commands to Import private key into your Bitcoin ABC wallet.

walletpassphrase <yourfullpassword> 6000
importprivkey <PasteyourBTCprivatekeyyoucopiedabove>

It should rescan and sync up with the real BTC chain and show your balance again. Let me know if you run into issues.

Is it even possible? How can it become "overriden". If you spend BCC cannot in any way influence the BTC chain anymore, so it cannot "override" it or mess with it. If you have the private keys you should be able to recover both.
