Your "bitcoin cash" is not in your Bitcoin wallet because only Bitcoins are in your Bitcoin wallet.

Because "bitcoin cash" is an altcoin, spun off from the Bitcoin blockchain, you will have to download an altcoin wallet (or find an online one) to find those "bitcoin cash" altcoins.

Any "bitcoin cash" altcoins that are due to airdrop to your address are not going anywhere.
Don't lose your real bitcoins chasing this rubbish.

Thanks for the reply, I'm a newbie so it's all still a bit foreign to me. So are you saying they will eventually airdrop into my wallet that I created on bitaddress.org??

Er no, not quite.
They are already on that address, but on a different chain.
To "get" those altcoins, you need to use your "real" bitcoin private key. Very risky for a newbie imo.

You have not created a "wallet" on bitaddress, only an "address".
You would need to move your private key to a full wallet for control.

If you check the "bitcoin cash" explorer, you'll see them there, on your bitcoin address. They will not move till you move them. No panic.

Great thanks for your help, I think I'll wait a while before I decide to do anything with them, maybe get a hardware wallet 1st, what do you think?
Also do you think bitcoin cash will eventually become redundant or do you think they will take over?

paper wallet is fine, if you are hoarding. Maybe have an online wallet for small sums for easy use.
(i know, the paper wallet is only an addy|)

"bitcoin cash" did not take on the mighty Bitcoin hash power. I don't see how it can have any real value, only pump dump schemes.
I may support a larger block size for Bitcoin, not another alt.,

Sorry i don't play the shill game!

edit - bitaddress is only safe if used in a proper offline environment.

Bitcoin Cash is an altcoin? Really? That doesn't sound too...neutral!? If it is just a little altcoin why are miners jumping the ship on BTC and mining BCH now which is much more profitable? If it is an altcoin why is it closer to Satoshis vision than BCH?

I don't endorse neither, the best one will win, but please, let us stay neutral and objective.

It is an alt simply because of how it came about.

I am opinionated, however i like to think i listen also.
btcash is most definitely far closer to satoshi's vision than bitcoin is now, except for the inception

But what about new adopters buying bitcoin now, unaware of all this?
What when their bitcoin falls away if btcash grows. They did not know Core have destroyed bitcoin.
All us who have "free" btcash don't mind if it does well.
But when the next fork split comes, what then?
What if btcash turns like Corecoin and another more satoshi-like coin is born?

This is why miners must act in majority to protect their interests and ours, destroying any other chain. By satoshi design.

I totally disagree with Core. They have hidden motives detrimental to bitcoin.
Core are attackers. Miners should act.
