No Bitcoin in my wallet

So I bought bitcoin for the first time about two hours ago, instantly the money was taken from my bank account but no bitcoins have appeared in my wallet? Just wondering how long it should take to appear and whether or not this is normal.

Can you give us a little more info? Where did you buy the bitcoins? From here (bitcoin.com)? or from an exchange?

Which exchange did you use? Are you in the US? If so, then did you use coinbase? If you used localbitcoins, then you should have your money within 2 hours after the exchange. Otherwise you've been scammed.
Personally, I always work with coinbase and do a direct bank transfer. This takes 4-5business days to be accessible in my coinbase wallet. From there I send it ASAP to my exodus wallet or bitconnect. Hope this helps! Feel free to PM me or reply here if you need more help.

I live in Australia but I used this website to buy the bitcoin- https://buy.bitcoin.com/
So I bought from an American website cause the Australian versions have a higher price for some reason once you convert currency.

If you are in Australia then give Coinjar a try, I have been using them for a couple of years and they have beenough great although their customer support has slipped lately.

Whatever you do just remember to never store your coins in one of these online wallet, as soon as you get the coins move them to an address that you control the private keys to.
