Isnt that guy running this forum?!
I do want to know why everyone distrusts Roger so much, so I read this article too. It's important to note that this article was posted in November of 2016.

Halfway through the article I just had to laugh out loud.
Roger Ver and the Alts
This is a fun one. Because Bitcoin was so popular that no one was using it anymore and everyone was running to alts as Roger mentioned, he was pushing his belieVers to some altcoins including Ethereum and Monero.

That was when bitcoin was $550, at the time of writing Bitcoin is $715.
Monero price then: 0.015 now: 0.0104
~44% loss.
And it’s very very far away the 500 million to 1 billion that he predicted even though we are now “in the next few months”.
LOL, BT C_Hydra/SpaceMonkey/LiteCoinGuy whoever you are, YOU SCHMUCK. Look at the market cap of Monero today. It's exactly what Roger predicted it would be, just a few months late. Not bad for a self-admitted "wild guess." Are you willing to admit that Roger Ver was right about Monero?

There are several valid criticisms of Roger and big-blockers in the rest of the article, but most are based on spite and mis-interpreted economics. What comes out most for me is questioning why so many people are afraid of giving BCH its own playground to succeed or fail on its own merits. Seems to me this is the perfect opportunity to show Roger and co. that big-blocks can do nothing but fail. Yet instead of being happy about this, everyone with ties to Core and SegWit implementation are mad as heck.

I really wonder why that is...
