Spread Bitcoin in your local area via craigslist

Sat Nov 14, 2015 9:52 am

One way you can help spread Bitcoin in your local area is by making a post to the community section on craigstlist, or other relevant area. You can also create meetups and list them there for our meetup section on the forum. If you're worried about privacy you could post to a general area if you'd rather not share your particular location.

It would be great for you to share your story on how Bitcoin has affected you to your local area and then give people access to the information they need to get involved. Certainly you can link to the forum (http://forum.bitcoin.com) , wiki (http://wiki.bitcoin.com) , and bitcoin.com main page

Here's an example I might post but you can be as creative as you want of course.:

Hey! new to Bitcoin?,

I found out about Bitcoin in 2011 when a friend invited me to a local miner meetup.
Bitcoin is an online peer-to-peer digital currency that anyone can use and it can't
be controlled or censored. It can be exchanged globally for currencies and commodities,
and it's programmable. If anyone in the area is interested in learning more
about Bitcoin please join us on forum.bitcoin.com or see the beginners information
on bitcoin.com.

I'm happy to respond to questions from any local Bitcoiners
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Try and share your posts here, maybe you'll connect with someone off the forums in your area!

Thanks for your help in spreading Bitcoin,
We can only see a short distance ahead, but we can see plenty there that needs to be done.

Here is my contribution to the LA area:

---
Learn more about Bitcoin

Bitcoin is gaining a lot of traction throughout the LA area. More restaurants and venues are starting to accept it as a payment method. If you are interested in learning more about Bitcoin and what it can do for you, check out www.bitcoin.com

Merchants who want to save on transaction fees, there are many merchant processors that will only charge ~1% transaction fees rather than 3-5% when you use a Credit card. You can find more information here: https://www.bitcoin.com/getting-started

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments.

PS. If you use www.purse.io to shop on Amazon, you can save up to 20% on each order.
