Same wallet on two devices?

Sat Jul 15, 2017 9:18 am

Hi All. Complete Bitcoin newbie here. One question. Can I view/manage one wallet from two separate devices? ie can I have a wallet installed on my laptop and then also track/monitor the same wallet on my phone? Or, is this defeating the whole point of the wallet....

Thanks!
Tony

You're compromising the security because it offers more than one point of entry, BUT using the same password for the wallet presents the same level of challenge for a potential hacker regardless of the device.

Thinking on screen a bit here, if the level of security is the same on each device you're not reducing your risk by having the wallet on two different devices. Your security is as great as the easiest device for a thief to access. E.g., your phone is probably with you all the time, thus around more people and more susceptible to theft or attack.

Which wallet are you using?

It should not happen. Security issues will be there. Bitcoin wallets like Flitpay does not allow so.
