I think its about time I start investing in ICOs

Thu Jun 29, 2017 4:33 pm

I have been browsing on https://icobazaar.com/ earlier on, looking for ICOs that I might start investing in and I came across few ICOs which looked very interesting and might worth investing in. But the one that I am mostly interested in is called DIMCOIN : https://icobazaar.com/dimcoin . I went through their website https://www.dimcoin.io/ , the whitepaper and their roadmap and I can see that the project is having huge ideas, plans for future and I love that, so I am actually considering to invest in it. The other ICO that impressed me was Tezoz. What do you think of my decision?

Do proper research into every ICO you are thinking about investing in, there are many scam coins around. Research the projects, development team, and their promises extensively.

What features does Dimcoin have that presents a new, better cryptocurrency to the market? Why should anyone put money into this coin, beyond the hope of a quick pump and dump?

ICOs are getting out of control. Everyone is creating one, few (if none) of them offer some new value proposition or feature. I just don't see what the value is that we'd be buying. It reminds me of the .com bubble in the late 1990's. Companies would be formed with a random idea and a web address and everyone threw money at them without ever knowing how they were going to make a profit.

What do you use to make your investment decisions?

Let the buyer beware!

After I read your reply, I then went on and research about this project, and I wouldn't say that its one of those. Everything I went through looks proper to me. And the interesting part was that it's divided into two versions, The DIMCOIN and the DIM Currencies. I just believe in this coin, I even joined their Telegram Group to keep me updated about their ICO https://t.me/dimcoinICO, I am willing to invest in this one tomorrow.

I think that the one that is making it different from all the other currencies is the fact that it's divided into two versions: DIMCOIN and DIM Currencies. The DIMCOIN as a speculative coin and DIM Currency which is equivalent to the value of fiat currency that it is exchanged from. And DIM Currencies can be used as a means of payment in the DIM Ecosystem. The DIM Ecosystem offers services such as cryptonisation of equity, trading in cryptonised shares and assets, cryptocurrency exchanges, crypto-fiat currency exchanges, e-commerce, debit card purchases, business transactions, and commodity trading. So I don't want to miss this opportunity and regret later once the project is successful.

Ahh, this is clever. So would the DIM Currency be pegged to fiat currency so the value is interchangeable? That's great for retailers, giving them a stable value of crypto-currency to conduct business in. However, if the crypto is pegged to fiat then it will lose it's spending power as all fiat currencies do. I suppose the DIMCOIN provides the safe haven for wealth and the DIM Currency is only converted to for spending, is that correct?

The DIM Currencies are utilised as a medium of exchange in the DIM Ecosysystem and they are for e-commerce and merchant purchasing on platforms that will accept the DIM Currencies. For example, if a user converts their fiat currencies into the DIM Currencies using US dollars, the amount of DIM Currencies the user receives will be equivalent to the value of the US dollar in relation to the DIM Currencies. The interesting part is that there will be no conversion fees attached to DIM Currencies. The converted US dollar amount will be denominated as DIM USD.

This is quite a useful and novel feature. And the fact that merchants can accept the currency with significantly less to no currency exchange risk while us crypto believers can keep wealth in the coin and appreciate its...err...appreciation as time goes on. I like this a lot.

Has DIM Coin all been mind (as so many ICOs are these days) or is it undergoing true mining as Bitcoin and Litecoin do?

Thank you!

The dimcoin.io site is down. No payouts have happened. Looks like it's turning out to be one big scam.

It can't be a scam. I already received my tokens and invested more. Try to understand that all payout are made manually, so be patient, you will receive your DIMCOIN and DIM TOKENS anytime soon.
