I'm relatively new to Bitcoin and all things cryptocurrency, but I recently came across an opportunity to brainstorm a method of fundraising a large sum of money for a charity. Given all the recent press about ICOs raising insanely large sums of money, I was wondering if it would be possible to finagle an ICO-type (essentially crowdfunded) of fundraising event for charity.
I'd imagine along the lines of people donating a certain amount of currency to the charity with no expectation of making a return.
Possible? Or not possible?
