Newbie to Bitcoin.com wanting to transfer hashpower (GHS)

Tue May 30, 2017 10:18 pm

Sirs,

I was wondering if i would be able to transfer my existing Bitcoin amount and existing GHS to Bitcoin.com? Additionally, would Bitcoin.com be able to help me facilitate this transfer?

Thank you for your considerations.

Hi there dhed,

Which pool are you currently mining with, and how many Gigahashes of power would you like to transfer to mining with Bitcoin.com? :)

I was mining with CEX.IO until they ceased mining, during the lean price of Bitcoin. I have kept an eye on my account and my Bitcoin amount and GHS remain solvent.

Ah, did you have a cloud mining contract with them? If you had a cloud mining contract with a company / pool you cannot transfer this to any other company / pool. Cloud mining contracts are sold and run by the pool you purchase them from.

If you have your own mining hardware and can output 300+ GH/s you can mine with the Bitcoin.com Pool by signing up and pointing your hashing power to our pool. If you do not have your own mining hardware you can purchase cloud mining contracts with us here.

Please note that our mining contracts are currently out of stock, but if you'd like to be added to our restock notification mailing list to receive an email anytime we fully restock you can do so by clicking here.

Cheers!

CEX has been long closed. As Bitcoin is a decentralized network, cloud mining hash power bought through private companies cannot be transferred anywhere else.

It would be the equivalent of buying something at target and trying to return it to Walmart several years later.

However you can likely withdraw your Bitcoin balance at cex.

We just ordered millions of dollars worth of additional hash rate that will be for sale with our cloud mining platform around the end of the month. We'd love to have you participate!
