I Sent Bitcoin's Biggest Wallets Money! - Seriously!

Thu May 18, 2017 7:24 pm

So I decided to send a few pennies of appreciation to Bitcoin's wealthiest wallets. Why? Because that's my nature and style. There was once a program called "Temporary Assistance to Needy Families." Or TANF for short. I thought there should be "Temporary Assistance to Needy Millionaires." So I sent the following transactions out - 0.0001 BTC or 19c:

https://blockchain.info/address/1HQ3Go3 ... q5fGG8Hbhx

https://blockchain.info/address/3Nxwena ... FiLp6Afp8v

Gotta scroll down: https://blockchain.info/address/3D2oetd ... qkyNVsFk9r and https://blockchain.info/address/3Kzh9qA ... uSx5tyNLNS

But the other reason I sent the pennies was to tip the possible inventor(s) of Bitcoin. Why? Because - he, she, they, or it came up with a great device. While I do think Bitcoin is going to turn into a store of value like Gold. Only to face eclipse in terms of market capitalization by a faster, less expensive and friendlier currency. Bitcoin as the President of Bitnation puts it is a "first love." We all pay for love - one way or another, so why not tip the boys with the big wallets. So that's what I did.

I did so before I realized the fees I set were too low. Before I caught on to how slow the network had become. If I were a techie I'd put together my own accelerator and I'd do "Child Pays For Parents" work for BTC. It's gotta be a growing biz for now! If anyone on here does that kind of work - I'll pay you to help me!

You should add this address to your list of philanthropy targets, this addresses mission is to become one of the wealthiest wallets on the network: 1Exx48BUTb57hPND67Mt5WwPXiTA9CjoEs

I agree with you on the future, I also believe it'll ultimately become a store of value (rather than a currency).

Being able to send or receive random payments is one of the most fun parts of Bitcoin. Especially when people put their bitcoin address on a sign and it ends up on TV and then gets lit up with satoshi. Love it!

Ah, I'm a micro-philanthropist and a Trillionaire in my own mind.... I don't know whether I should buy Ripple and Stellar Lumens to speculate, Dash to use as a fast currency or buy a mining pool contract here, I'll probably end up doing all the above.

Dash is now being used by many people as a way to either speed up transactions or move funds cheaply.

I have seen more "TX accelerator" sites popping up around the net lately but most of the paid ones are just scams, I think I heard some even ask for credit card payments to push your TX into the next block, what a said place bitcoin is in if that's true!

As Possum said, it used to be fun sending micro transactions to friends. Attach a $0.01 fee and watch the TX confIrm within the next block, now I'm adding fees of over $1 usd to a small single input tx and just keeping my fingers crossed that it confirms within the next hour!
The blocks are always full and there is no denying it any longer.

Yea, I guess we're all *doomed* to send people tips via Dogecoin. I liked Horizon - but they got booted off of Poloniex. I still love BTC and I feel a bit odd *cheating* on it. But then again, it is getting to become expensive. She's becoming a high maintenance blonde...

So Bitkilo, what's the remedy? A hard fork is the only way to fix this issue with transaction fees and full blocks?

If so, why can't the community be convinced. It makes more sense to be intentional with the solution rather than this "maybe it'll happen" talk, right?
